I bought the haunted car used in 2008. Since then off & on starting problems using my key. since I bought it, I would run it for awhile say for 30 to 60 minutes and stop say to get gas. Then try to start it and the lights would go but no engine. It has aftermarket IDENTITY SECURITY KEYTAG must have this keytag within a certain distance of car key when car is cranked or car won't start.VIPER REMOTE INSTALLED 2009 as a gift. Ok for a few days then CAR IS DEAD. nothing. All the security lights flash when I hit the viper to start it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't start and I have to use the key. Then after 5 days of Viper install, on 12.25.09 the entire car was dead. No lights or anything. Best buy did install, they said it's fine. I left a light on or something. NOT! I'm a little ANAL RETENTIVE ABOUT THIS HAUNTED CAR! Ever since I bought it I've had issues with occasional not starting. One Dealer said could be the passlock in the ignition. Why did the dealer I got it from not check that when I kept complaining while it was under warranty? They said can't fix what they can't recreate.

So now my warranty is out. ANYBODY KNOW ABOUT IDENTITY AFTER MARKET ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEMS AND VIPER REMOTES ON THESE CARS? Today I (was fine yesterday) I hit the viper this AM and it sounded like a hammer was beating on the front end of my car. What the hell is that ?? Having it towed back to Best buy. Want Viper OUT! Need info on the after market identity thing! Want it out! After all this is out of the car, I am hoping the occasional POWER SURGES that reset my clock to midnight and blow my speakers when I start the car will CEASE AND DESIST! I've had 2 new stereos and 2 new speaker sets blown. For no reason that anyone can figure out. Sometimes, when I use the key THIS IS PRE - VIPER REMOTE INSTALL- the car cranks and I hear a POP in all the speakers - all the dash lights go nuts and then go normal. And I have to reset the clock. My speakers are blown right now but what's the point of fixing them again ? Just going to blow again. I love absolutely this car. the pick up, the way it sits when I drive--handling and such, how low the wheel tilts so I can kneecap it just right, the power seat that boosts me up, I"m only 5"3 so I love the that the seat goes up! I love the way my dual flowmasters sound when i fire her up. I love the way my seat hugs me perfectly. She fits me in all ways. The sunroof, 2 door coupe. BlackBetty's her name and she enjoys a little 0 to whatever from time to time. But god how I wish I'd never laid eyes on her and taken her for a turn. Please, let the powers that be hear my prayers tonight, this night of the full blue moon, send me an angel to fix my blackbetty and get her racing up and down raleigh again real soon!
