I'll never own a grand am ever again! After fighting a losing battle over the pass lock situation & $100's later....I now have zero cold air on 90 degree days. I took it to be diagnosed to see if it had some kind of leak. I was then told that they can't get an exact read & to come back when they're not busy. However, they did say it could be as simple as a blown fuse. I took it to a different dealership. Then told they could diagnose the ac to see if it needs to be charged & if so, how much to put in. I'm sorry, but I REFUSE to pay $350 for a diagnosis & maybe get a recharge. I wouldn't have went to repair shop if the 134a was adaptable to my port. But of course, it's so far down that the hose isn't long enough to reach. GM had that in mind when they manufactured this car. Smh!! Regardless, that's highway robbery to me. I work paycheck to paycheck like most people. I do know that if it's not done correctly, it's an expensive repair bc it'll fry the compressor. Why did they design this car to be so hard to work on?!?! I'm pretty car savy. Just extremely upset that something I know is an easy fix & they designed the car to where you pretty much have to take it . All this car has done for me is keep me worried for my safety, in debt & with constant headaches! ! Step up GM. Do your job & make things right. It's always something with its car. Once again, thanks GM for sticking it to the buyer once again! I swear they should be sued for faulty manufacturing. God knows the ac issue, believe it or not, is the LEAST of the issues I'm having with this car!!!!!
