Have taken it to 3 different mechanics, including a Chevy dealer. They all said it was a bad fuel pump, and charged $800 +/- to fix it. The car runs ok for a month or 2 then the exact same problem occurs, mainly on hot days. It will restart a few days later, then the problem reoccurs. This problem has happened about 10-15 times, and has rendered the car extremely unreliable.
When we take it back to the mechanics, they say they can fix the problem unless its not running when we bring it in. Once we drove it to a dealer, who had previously replaced the fuel pump, and it wouldn't start for them! They called 2 days later, and said it was running now but couldn't figure out the problem! HELP! Anyone! Thanks, Ron
