Was driving down city street car was in motion and car died leaving me with no steering or power. Has not started since. Have narrowed down to ignition or security it has killed a battery. Turns over but will not start. Getting very costly.

I was involved in a car accident as a passenger on 10/25/2001 in which the steering column locked up on our 2001 Grand Am as we were driving causing us to lose control of the car and flip down hill. My father and my brother were front passengers and I was the rear seat passenger of the car and was ejected out of the back window. The airbags never deployed. After being ejected from the rear window of the car I suffered a broken pelvic bone, a bleeding brain with permanent brain damage, internal bruises on my lungs, my liver, and my kidneys, and the top 3 discs and bottom 3 discs in my back popped out of place. I had to be air lifted to shands hospital in gainesville Florida where I remained until 11/20/2001. During the the time between 10/25/2001 and 11/20/2001 I was in a coma, had to be fed intraveinously, and was placed on life support. I was transported to shands rehab hospital in gainesville fl, on 11/20/2001 and was released from shands rehab hospital 11/30/2015 in wheelchair and body brace. I had to have outpatient vocational rehabilitation therpay due to my brain injuries after being released from the hospital. I recently learned that the vehicle that I was involved in the accident has been recalled by General Motors due to a faulty iginition switch that causes the vehicle to lose power which causes drivers to not be able to control the steering of the vehicle and am submitting this claim because of this finding. There have been several other claims agains general motor regarding the same vehicle model. I have uploaded the fhp report as well as pictures post accident of the vehicle.

Everyone knows that the dashboard of all 2001 Pontiac Grand Am are worthless. Before I mention that the window regulators go out frequently, and the blinker modules are pure junk causing the blinker to blink at high rate of speed when turning. They all go bad and make the cars look and sound like hell. This has been going on for many years like all the others writing in with the same demands. There must be a recall and if there isn't one, then GM is the sorriest bunch of unconcerned auto manufacturers in the business. It makes them look like thieves and I believe strongly about this and am following through with everything in my power to see that all of us are compensated. I will not cease to stop this pursuit. And this is not personal information. I will do whatever it takes to damage GM publicly, should this not be addressed. Anyone can call me at [xxx], my name is [xxx]. I live in [xxx]and I'm sick and tired of being walked all over. Just read the responses on-line concerning this issue. It should appalled the entire working staff at GM. The A/C stopped working on buttons 1-2 and was only working on 3 4 5 and now completely quit working all together.

My car has a security device that when driving will completely shut down the car and I have to drive on I26 to get to work this is a major interstate what happens when im driving this car and it shuts down in front of a big truck and I cant steer it because the power and electrical control has completely quit. This is a death trap waiting to happen Pontiac or GM should really recall this I had to replace my complete coolant system and fuel system only to be told its the cars anti-theft deterrent security device it is a just a matter of time before someone is hurt or even worse by this defective device. How many complaints do we have to make to get this part recalled and fixed? it's too late when your dead to make a recall.
