The front dash around the windshield vent has been cracking since approximately last spring/summer. What started as one small crack has expanded into three large ones. I've noticed the entire front dash seems to be warping, and there is now a small gap between the top of the instrument panel and the dash. I do not see any plausible fix for this problem. My primary concern regarding this problem is twofold (1) what is causing the damage, is it sun damage or is there a damaged electrical component inside the dash and (2) will this affect the electronics that are under the dash as the cracks grow? Definitely a pain, but any potential fix would cost more than the car is worth at this point, I'm sure.

Dashboard is starting to crack and others have had this problem. Since it's been in my possession I am not sure if I ever paid attention to this at all but the crack is getting bigger and starting to peel off. Not fixing this garbage. Cheap American quality.
