When rolling down the two back windows it leaves a scratch down the windows. Both windows have the exact same scratch in the exact same spot and its about a inch wide. My mothers Grand Am though not a 1999 did the same exact thing. For the "other complaint" : the lining that covers the doors on every door, right by the windows is separating. It should be tucked under into the seam but they are all separating.

Had an issue under original manufacturer's warranty of windows being scratched by defect in the door. They accepted responsibility for the defect and replaced glass at no charge. They said that the problem that caused the scratches was resolved. On 8-23-02 the issue reoccured and was to be fixed. The dealership at that time did not have the necessary parts to fix the problem. On 12-4-02 there was an appointment made to fix the problem and replace the windows, but the "ice storm of the century" hit North Carolina. Since then I have not had the oppertunity to leave my car in the shop for an extended period of time due to my employment. Now Pontiac says that they will make me pay out of pocket to fix the issues with the door that were suppose to be handled under the original manufacturer's warranty.

When we purchased the car, it had excessive wind noise, both from the drivers door near mirror, and right rear door. I took it into the Pontiac garage, they played with it, but not fixed. I called Pontiac, and was told that there was a bullitoon wind noise, so I contacted garage and they ordered in new weather stripping for doors. Installed that but still the same. Took car to Chevrolet garage and they adjusted doors, but still the same. Have tried Pontiac help line several times, no results, and Pontiac garage unable to help. Sounds like (depending which way wind is coming from) you are driving with your window down a inch or so. Some times bad enough that you and the passanger have to raise your voices so you can hear what is being said. Help!!!!!
