Have noticed that when my car shifts it shifts roughly and the RPM's say the car is accelerating but the car is not even going faster. It costly is shift hard, or shifting at points when it shouldn't shift at all. They have looked at it in the shop 5 times and seem to think that there is nothing wrong with the transmission. They say that they can not duplicate the problem at all. I have driven numerous of their other G6's as rentals because they had my car for a month after I first bought it and they never shifted that hard.

I bought a brand new 2009 Pontiac G6 sedan in June. Only a short couple of months later, the transmission started acting goofy. From time to time the tranny will shift very hard. You can feel the engine rev up, but it doesn't shift into the next gear right away like it should. When it finally does shift it is very hard and noticeable. I took the car to the dealer to get this looked at. They said they could not replicate the problem and that everything seems fine. I have had multiple other people drive my car that have also noticed the same shifting issue. This is very frustrating, especially since it is a new car.
