The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

The contact owns a 2009 Pontiac G6. After starting the vehicle, the brake lights illuminated continuously. In addition the service traction, check engine, and air bag warning indicators illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V252000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electrical system, exterior lighting, vehicle speed control, electronic stability control). The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.
