CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2009 is starting to have the same problems as previous model years, including the headlights blowing out due to bad connectors.
The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

Bought car brand new asked salesman how to turn on cruise control. I was pushing on cruise and it didn't in engage and when I pushed again it had, so I thought it was something I did wrong. after I bought car it continued to sometimes go on and sometimes not. rock in because it was under warranty and they said when they drove it worked fine so they said nothing to fix, saw nothing wrong. A year or so later got car in again to fix cruise, since that is why I wanted cruise to use it ( keep from getting speeding ticket). the second time they replaced the brake something or other. seemed like it worked ok then did it again and became worse . I started tapping on brake and pushing cruise control at same time and it would engage. then one day I was driving 50 miles per hour and all the sudden the car went completely dead and steering wheel locked. a couple of people told me that my brake lights were on like I was riding the brakes, which I wasn't. also I had to replace front head light 3 times, since I had it and had to go to court for having a broken head light. in addition the air bag light came on for the passengers side when my 80 pound son sat in front seat.
Update from Jul 28, 2016: I forgot to mention that the windshield wiper fluid pump or whatever is broken too and that stopped working after about the 40,000 mile point and the traction light will turn on for minute or two or enough to make me start to worry then it will turn off.
