Filled up the gas tank, and as I was driving, I could smell gas in the car!! I pulled over to see the gas pouring out. I drove one block and lost a half tank of gas!!!

I have owned a lot of vehicles but this is the first car that ever had rusted fuel lines..As I was driving along I could smell has and thought it was the truck that judged passed me. I knew it was wrong when I got back home after shopping I parked my car and still smelled gas...

Went around my vehicle and and looked underneath and there is was drip drip drip and then got back in my car and took it right to the dealership. After they told me the price for this fix, I wasn't ready for that but I don't live where you can get around on foot - you need a vehicle...so I left it there.

Not a happy person. I got home and got on this site and found other complaints about my vehicle and rusted fuel lines... I need to do something about this problem as people where I live can be so careless about where they toss their cigarette butts..

GM needs to recall all Pontiac G5s and related because of this ongoing problem with the gas line rusting out.

Filled car up on the 3rd January, started smelling faint gas smell, within couple days got worse then noticed it leaking gas from the lines...further looking into the fuel line is rusted with now holes big enough can't be started or driven safely . Calling Monday for estimate for repair..I heard recalls for this in southern states but my car isn't under the recall, think if some Pontiac G5 2008 are recalled for this problem all should be recalled and checked. Now I have a major problem, I am sure isn't going to be a cheap fix.

I haven't been more disappointed in a car as this with all the recalls and issues it has that isn't being addressed by GM. I feel that GM should recall all 2008 Pontiac G5's and fix this issue along with issues that followed like the rusted gas lines with leaking gas now...I bought my car used in 2014 had no idea of all the bad recall issues were having or would of never bought it from dealer. Would of bought a different car..I am on disability don't have extra money sink into issues from car maker poor assembling tactics. When get this repaired be nice to get GM to pay for this...I will be getting rid of this car, just too many safety issues, costing me too much money.
