Only significant in that I'm not sure what it signifies? Intermittent so it was impossible to reproduce for a mechanic. Would happen upon first ignition of the day, 2-3000 rpm in park, dropped a bit in reverse, and fairly normal in drive. Might stay high idling at lights but never as high as when first turned on. Usually all the way back down to normal at the end of my 20 minute commute.

Aztek 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,500 miles

RMS will increase to 2,500 to 3,000 sometimes when stopped. Will return to normal RMS when the engine is turned off and then turned back on. Replaced ICV. Still performs intermittenly.
