The left axle broke on 9-18-04. There was no warning before the left axle broke. The consumer was attempting to pull out from a stop light. The dealership was unable to determine the cause of the breakage.

Luckily, I was only going 5 miles an hour when it happened, but my axle broke...not at the joint, which I am told happens, but right in the middle of 3qtr inch steel. One axle broke completely in half, and the other indicated signs of being ready to break.
