In 1999, interior lights failed. 10/2001 horn failed, and airbag lights go on/off :apparenlty it is the modular that control all these items and more such as milege, etc. Called dealer. Said Chrysler has recall on airbag but not for my year.

We first noticed the problem in June of 1999. The door ajar light and chime would go off intermittently, particularly on bumpy roads. We would check all the doors, they would all be shut. We took the car back to the dealer we'd purchased it from. On 6/28/99 they re-aligned the driver side door to "fix the problem". everything was ok for awhile. We noticed the problem again in Sept of 1999. We returned to the dealer 10/8/99; they replaced the driver-side switch. The problem continued. On 10/21/99 they examined the car and ordered a body control module. At this point it was almost continuous dinging and flashing of the dome lights.they replaced the module on 11/3/99. It was better for a couple of weeks, and then the dinging and flashing started again. We contacted the dealer, they ordered another module, which was installed on 12/29/99. The problem continued. They ordered still another module, which was installed on 1/11/2000. The problem remains. The dealer has instructed me that they will have to replace the module again. I do not feel this will solve this problem. I feel there is something wrong with the electrical system in this vehicle. I am very concerned because it is hazardous to drive this vehicle at night because when the dome lights flash on and off visibility is very poor. My husband drives the vehicle to work at night and has had to pull the fuse for the interior lights on many occasions due to safety concerns. I have been to the dealer on 6 occasions for this problem and they have replaced the body control module three times. Each time the problem remains and it gets no better.

Electrical problem causes with windshield wipers, dome lights, 'door ajar' light, door locks, and turn signals on dash.
