This has happened twice in the last week. After driving about 150 miles in 90 degree-plus weather, my car has stalled while driving at a steady speed of 60mph. The engine sputters, like the fuel pump is giving out...then, the engine turns off while I am still driving down the highway. I have to pull over. Engine turns over, but sputters and turns off during idle. After a couple hours, the engine starts up just fine and drives for days with no problem.

The car breaks up on highway at sustained speed then starts to sputer and miss so bad it will not run and eventually cut off the check engine light is on and only starts when car is warm and ready.
