Put the van in drive and it acts like it is in park/neutral then within 20 seconds or more it decides to go. Now you will be driving and all of a sudden the van puts itself in neutral and then back into drive after awhile. Not safe!! there are several leaks underneath the first 5 minutes the van is turned on it dings like the door is open. After about 10 minutes the brake light shines on dash and the bell rings the van is parked for now.

This clockspring assembly failed over a period of time, begining in about 2000 with the cruise control failure. This was followed by the airbag failure, as manifested by the airbag check lamp remaining on. Finally, the horn failed to work. I subsequently replaced the clockspring assembly this month, which repaired all the above problems. I have the defective clockspring, and am willing send it to you for analysis if you so desire.

During highway driving and after the cruise control had been set, the cruise control would not disengage after I stepped on the brake pedal. My van unexpectedly and repeatedly would quickly accelerate immediately after I released the brake pedal.

Had let vehicle idle a while before moving. Shifted into reverse & started to back out. Engine stalled out. No prior warning. Took to dealer 1st time & had map sensor replaced. 2nd time throttle sensor was replaced. 3rd time control module. 4th time mechanic took engine apart & found wires under the hood had melted together & all the electrical wires needed replacing. This was due to the wires being too close to the exhaust system.

problem #1

Multiple collisions, non-family member driving car. Driver had an epileptic seizure and blacked out. Apparently accelerated the mini van and rear ended a Dodge Ram pickup truck twice, and then ran into a telephone pole. Both air bags deployed. Driver wakened from accident. The right front passenger's seat, however, was up against the dashboard after the accident. Chrysler sent out an engineer to look at seat. It was pinned against the dashboard and will not move. Our concern is obvious. What would have happened in an accident with a passenger in the seat? pictures are available via E-mail if requested. Car was considered "totalled"by the insurance company. Car is located at pulera alrikas collision center kenosha, wi 53144.
