The contact owns a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The contact stated that intermittently, the vehicle would fail to start with no prior warnings or failures. However, after waiting fifteen minutes the contact noticed that the vehicle would start normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the ignition cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The current mileage was 75,000 and the failure mileage was 60,000.

I drive an Oldsmobile Intrigue 2002 with the passlock security system. It flashes while driving over the last week or so and today it left me and my daughter stranded. The car would not start. When I came back to the car later it did start. I found many web posts about this problem and apparently dealers can only replace the ignition switch to make this better.
