Overheated engine after mechanic opened and topped off hot surge recovery bottle with colder GM dex cool coolant & created a sudden and accidental loss of coolant. Vehicle overheated when an air pocket formed due to lack of coolant in the engine cooling system damaged both engine head gaskets. Fire possible.

Head gasket failure left me stranded on the side of a highway far from home. This occurred after about 8 visits to numerous GM dealerships who were unable to diagnose the cause of lost coolant. Over $3,000 in repairs later, we discoved that this is a common problem for this vehicle that needs to be recalled.

Various problems with 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The pcs light came on, the front passenger seat belt came out of the floor while the vehicle was in motion. During a blizzard the windshield wipers ceased. The crank sensor was faulty which rendered the vehicle inoperative.

3 problems. I think they are all electrically related. First, is one that has been noted on this site about the interior lights and headlamps dimming occasionally for long periods of time. Second is the right front blinker doesn't always blink when signaling, it just stays on. At least the interior turn signal blinks fast to indicate that a problem exists. Lastly, the engine has "misfired" on several occasions now causing the service engine soon light to come on. Now, this problem was "fixed" at the place I purchased the vehicle. A crankshaft position sensor was replaced. For 2 months this problem didn't occur. Now it occurs more and more frequently.

My car is leaking oil to the extent that it is dangerous to the car. Within 3000 miles all of the oil has completely leaked out of the vehicle. No oil is evident in any parking spot. The problem does not occur all of the time but has happened 4 separate times in the last year. The dealer cannot determine the cause.
