I bought a 2000 Olds Intrigue in July 08. It worked fine for a few months, and then I noticed that towards the middle of October it's low coolant light came on. I didn't think anything of it at first, and then the problem started to happen every week. I thought well this might not be too bad. Then it started to do it everyday and after reading on this site it appears that mine isn't the only GM vehicle with the problem. I took it to my trusted mechanic and he told me that the Intake Manifold Gasket needed to be replaced, and something about the fuel injection rods. I was angry! Especially after he told me that the whole procedure could cost me in the thousands! I really wish GM would do something about this problem. Apparently it's not only happening to Oldsmobile! Chevy Malibus are big on this problem too! This is the second car from GM I've had that has done this to me! I'm going back to Ford!
