The speedometer wire that hooks to the cars computer broke. The garage I took it too had it fixed the same day put a new sensor and a new wire and the car works like new again. The car was forced into a safe mode and that is why it wouldn't shift properly. and the service engine light would come on. My mechanic knew what he was talking about and had the problem fixed in no time.

Going up a canyon my speedometer and odometer just stopped working. Not knowing exactly what is wrong I checked the fuse and it seemed alright it was attached to other components in my car so I know that they were working. Someone said it may be a cable, I haven't been able to find the correct cable with the manufacturer yet. The check your engine light came on after that. It seems just weird. Anyone had the same problem and yes the mileage is correct only 37247 miles on the car.
