bought 3 yrs ago from 2 little ol spinster sisters that only drove to church and store during pleasant weather. Engine would stall unexpectedly... It had been well maintained, and with easy use on the engine, I didnt know what the problem was; run fine one day, stall the next. Quit one time when I ran to get lunch for the office (my turn to run...), boy; no one was happy with me.. couldnt get it started for over an hour, and had everyones now COLD lunch with me (YIKE), after a bunch of fiddling around with a couple of mechanics that couldnt diagnose the prob (it wasnt consistant), we tried a new $6 thermostat. BINGO no probs since.

Stalls unexpectedly. Especially in cold weather, at slow speeds, and when idle (like at every stop sign on the way home, grr). Sometimes stall would be preceded by a violent shake. Sometimes it would shake and not stall. This usually happened at high speeds. Took many tries to get it to start. Once it died in an intersection and a police cruiser helped push me into a parking lot. Half hour after that, it started like nothing had happened. Very unpredictable. But it recently had the heads/gaskets replaced, replaced a couple bad injectors, replaces fuel pressure regulator, replaced all spark plugs and wires, replaced fuel filter, regularly had oil changes, no tranny problems or coolant leaks. Can't imagine what's wrong.
