The mechanics said they had never seen this before. They said the compressor shaft was completely broken off, just laying there. They said if this would've happened normally, the belt would have broken too. But, it didn't. They quoted it at $1200 in Indiana. I never got it fixed since winter is coming soon and I think I'll trade this in before next summer. It blows air, just really hot air. They said the heat will still work and I can drive around with it broken, just the air conditioning won't work. Bummer.
