This is actually my daughters car and she is the one that is having the problems with it. She will drive it for months and then all of a sudden she shuts it off to go in to her dorm and everything inside the car stays on. She can lock the car up but the radio stays on, dash lights and other things stay on in the car and then it won't start again. I was with her in October when this happened the first time, got out a pair of vise grips and disconnected the positive battery cable from battery, left it off a few minutes then reconnected it. Doing this seemed to reset the computer on the car and then it ran ok for quite a while. I know she did take it to a repair shop where she attends college and they said it was the ignition switch and replaced it for her. I think they ended up charging her about $500 or more. It has continued to run several months now up until a couple of days ago and then it did it again. She unbolted the positive cable from the battery again and now it seems to be running again. When she first purchased the car in 2005 it kept having problems with the turn signals working off and on. She finally received a recall notice in the mail and had it fixed. There have been several little weird things like this going wrong with her car. The first few were fixed free because of recalls. She is ready to trade this car off for a different one!
