The 1999 Oldsmobile Alero is a piece of junk. I never had so many problems with a car in my lifetime. I will NEVER buy another GM product again. The power steering was replaced. The water pump was replaced. Two power windows broke. Its been one problem after another. This is the worst car I have ever owned. GM you stink.

We bought this car in December my husband test drove it and paid cash for it. I got in the car at night to run up to the grocery store and the dash lights wouldn't come on. We replaced the roll switch, the whole unit on the steering wheel and put a new dash unit in still no difference. i cant tell how fast i am going at night! it is insane. the radio lights don't work either. But if you open the door or roll the switch on the dash up the dome light comes on
