I bought my Xterra Pro4X new from the dealer in Ft Lauderdale. Right away I realized the Bluetooth mic was really bad. While driving over 40mph, my voice is really distorted. Windows up too, AC on or off, it does not matter. Its so bad that the cars system voice command does not understand me. My throat gets sore from yelling to be heard by the caller when trying to talk. They all complain: they can't hear from the noise which sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. I use my hands free mic on my iPhone and its clear as a bell. But I have to hold it which is not safe to drive with.
I specifically bought this car for two main features. One was its Bluetooth. I really needed to be able to drive and talk handsfree. If I am on the freeway and a call comes in I have to pull over to talk. Not what I paid for. I drive often 2 1/2 hours between towns and its really annoying to use this system.
I took it back to the dealer and they swore they could fix it. They had it a couple of times and once they kept it for 3 days but in the end nothing came of it. They said there was nothing they could do. What a rip off. Not sure if this qualifies for the Florida lemon law.
