Today my fuel gauge on my 2006 Xterra dropped to empty after a fill up and 80 miles later the check engine light came on. I am traveling alone in remote areas of the southwest. I find that the 2006 Xterra had a recall but for Jan-March 2006. My vehicle, however, was made 2 months prior ... November 2005. I seriously doubt that between November and January they made a change. I only have 67K miles and have learned yet again of another issue with this vehicle. Nissan doesn't make me feel like they care about their customers. I will have to go back to GM for my vehicles in the future.
