A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
I have purchased the Nissa X-Trail TL-D back in May 2012 for the cost of $46,000 from Western Nissan, Victoria (VIN: JN1TCNT31A0200394). I always wanted to go for SUV and while I had cheap options from Honda-CRV, Toyota Rav4 and Kia Sportage, I decided to go for X-Trail as I had the feeling Nissan X-Trail would be a much more reliable car.
Problem with Sunroof
After one four weeks waiting the car delivered on 1st June 2012. On the first day at the dealership I’ve found sunroof does not work as it suppose to be. I was pretty upset as I spend quite a lot of money and on the first day I found some faulty with the vehicle.
I was being told by Ellios (my dealer at Western Nissan) that is should be something small fix and asked me to come on next day. When I went there the next day only to be told I should book in with a service department and should come on another day. I was devastated I had to leave my car which I bought brand new after spending nearly $50k at the dealership for a “FIX†just after few days from delivery.
I have been told sunroof electronic system had not reset before the delivery and when they “reset†the system it was fixed. I was kind of relieved but still was pretty upset for the experience I’ve got after purchasing a brand new vehicle..
Problem with Reverse parking sensors
Then few weeks after I noticed problem with reverse parking sensors as it started to beep in the places it should not. Problem got worse with time and in some occations when I reverse the vehicle reverse parking sensors kept beeping continuously. I had to take the vehicle to them few times as the problem with sensors not persistent, it comes and go and when they inspect the car first few times problem wasn’t there. In this point I was pretty angry with the situation as I had to take leave from work to take the car to dealership.
About in fourth time I took the car to the dealership, problem with the reverse sensors had been detected and asked me to leave the car for inspection.
Got a call from Mathives (from service department at Western Nissan) and he explained my car had been fitted with non genuine reverse parking system. I was furious as I’ve selected and paid for the genuine Nissan reverse parking sensor system at the time of the purchasing the vehicle. He explained errors can happen as pre delivery department was very busy.
But it was not my problem, I paid for a Brand New Nissan X-Trail. Its Nissan Australia and Western Nissan’s responsibility to deliver an error free vehicle. I’m not stupid to expect 100% error free but the errors found in the car so far are purely due to negligence from Nissan Australia and Western Nissan.
I had to leave my car at the dealership again for a “FIX†a manufacturer error only after two months of purchase.
Problem with Air Conditioning
This was colder months in the winter and I first use air conditioning in my car in a warmer day in August only to find out it wasn’t working. NISSAN FAILED AGAIN. I was helpless.
Had to ring dealership Western Nissan and book a date at the service department after few weeks as their AC GUY was busy, took my car in and had to left it there for another day. THEY SAID there weren’t enough GAS in the AC system and refilled GAS and got air conditioning working in my car. And they said they add a color liquid to trace any leaks if there any, if there was any problem again.
After a week, air conditioning in my car stopped working again. I have no words to express my frustration in this time. I rang the dealership Western Nissan and their AC GUY was away for few weeks and after that I was going on holiday and took the car back to them on 10th December. had to leave my car at the service department for another day and told me that they have to order a part from Japan and it would take up to another SIX WEEKS.
I now regret the purchase of this Nissan X-Trail TL-D. After 6 months and with three manufacturing errors and taking my car to the dealership Western Nissan more than 15 times due to faults of this brand New car I bought (taking leave from my work every time).
Now I’m driving my Nissan X-Trail TL-D which I bought Brand New spending nearly $50,000 dollars in the extreme heat with NO AIR CONDITIONING in the Victorian summer.
I can not afford to take any more leave from work to go back to get this damn car fixed. Still haven’t received a call from Western Nissan about the part they ordered for this car. I’m extremely unhappy about the purchase. Nissan di not delivered what I purchased. I’m being humiliated among my friends, family and colleagues. During past six months (from the day I purchased this car) I’m going back to Western Nissan every few weeks due to problems with the car.
I was pretty sad, furious and helpless and Service Department at Western Nissan always told me its normal, errors can happen all the time and I should live with it. But I don’t believe it. This is the third brand new vehicle I bought in last 10 years and never had any issues with my Honda and Holden cars ever.
Nissan, I had enough with this. It’s unbearable the heat in the car during these summer days as there is no air conditioning in the car whatsoever. I’m an extremely unhappy Nissan Customer. All my family, friends and colleagues pretty disappointed about Nissan product quality.
Nissan Australia, I need a car that works. I spent nearly $50,000 for this car, give me a solution.
