I have a Nissan 2006 Xterra which I maintain very well. I was driving in the highway and coming off a ramp when I see that I am losing RPM. Eventually the car stalls out and I am leaking fluid as I am on the ramp completed stalled out. I was able to get pushed off the ramp and into the exit where I had to get a tow truck to tow me to the shop. Thanks to the help of a good Samaritan who helped push my car off the ramp. At first it looked like it was the water pump that broke and it was not because the fluid that was leaking was on the right side of the truck, not in the center.
The problem was a cracked radiator leaking antifreeze, thermostat, worn serpentine belt and tensioner arm damaged. The radiator had a white fluid and also pink gunk inside it. In addition, it was cracked so it had to be completely changed. It cost me $780 to repair those 4 damages. I thought my car would now run smooth. But that's when I realize that there were more issues. The car began to lose power when I took it over 40 mph. It had trouble shifting at 20 mph. I lost the air conditioning in my car as well. The car had 94, 400 miles when it broke down. The transmission looks like it is starting to go.
Will Nissan cover this? If so who do I contact?
