Like all the other complaints with NISSAN my 2005 Xterra transmission was ruined by a faulty design with the radiator coolant leaking into the transmission. Nissan says not our problem and I am to late for the class action lawsuit. This is my second Xterra and now my last. The dealer says not our problem and I am now out 4K.
I own a 2005 Nissan Xterra and I'm having problems with the transmission. The radiator breaks and leaks coolant into the tranny. I took my truck to the dealer and they told me that was not cover under the warranty even though it is a well known problem for those cars. Nissan changed the warranty for the truck with out any apparent reason from 36000 to 80000. Now I know why they did it, but unfortunately this action won't help because the tranny problems start, in most of the cases I read, after 85000 miles.
