The contact owned 2015 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked it experienced a fire. The contact encountered the vehicle had blackened windows. The contact opened the car doors and grey smoke came out. The fire department was not called, the fire had burned itself out. The dash and gear shift lever were melted. The contact had the vehicle towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was declared a total loss. The contact was advised that the fire appeared to have started in wires behind the radio in the dash. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
