Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa Note owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.
HERE IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR: I first noticed the problem with a clunking noise when putting the car in reverse just a few days after I purchased the car. The noise went away so I thought nothing of it... then it came back and happened more often. I took the car to a local Nissan dealer to show them the noise and of course after 10 minutes trying to repeat the noise nothing happened so I drove home. A few days later it started up and I thought I would contact Nissan direct, I spoke to a consumer affairs person for Nissan and explained the problem. I was told to take the car back to the dealer and they kept the car for 2 days and at last heard the noise. They ordered the transmission on the 25th and it has not yet come to the dealer. In the mean time I noticed the brake pedal goes to the floor when I put the car in reverse sometimes which I think has something to do with this crap transmission. Then last night I heard a different noise coming from the transmission I think or near it ..... cannot wait to get the new transmission put in the car. I feel I have purchased a lemon and would like a new car instead of keep going back to the dealer to get this thing fixed. I DO NOT recommend the 2014 Nissan Note and feel it's a piece of junk right now.....
