The mph is accurate until the vehicle gets past 30mph. I found this out luckily not from a cop, but my speed trap detector which has my gps displayed. I also checked the speedometer using google maps and apple maps as well. All 3 sources had my MPH at the same real time and all showed that the faster I went the wider the gape between speedometer and actual speed.
0-30mph speedometer accurate
31-60 2 mph higher than actual speed
61-80 4-5 mph higher than actual speed
I'll come back to this one as well.
