CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data from the earlier model years in this 2nd generation Nissan Versa.

In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).

Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

I purchased this car with 5 milesage on Jan 12, 2017 at Fenton Nissan in Lee's Summit, Missouri, The crack showed on Feb 18, 2017 when I drove with 870's milesage.. There was no sign of spike or any reason. I called the dealership at Fenton Nissan about it and they said no warranty for windshield. Still brand new that should be replace window shield.. Very possible bad windshield?? Could be very dangerous if I drive on highway, may be worse or injury. I checked all car windows company. Average costs 200-300!! My insurance required me to pay deductiable first... I tried to find Nissan Headquarter phone numbers that I could call them since dealership won't replace windshield. I'm hoping Nissan Headquater could help.
