CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data from the earlier model years in this 2nd generation Nissan Versa.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

I have a 2015 Nissan Versa , it was the first owner, after 4 years and 9 months, the brake started to jerky off , ABS sign showed up, I went to Nissan Elk Grove California , I paid 2300$ and went home , they said I need to replace the battery although it is still working , I replace the belt, replace air filter, change oil but it is still the same, they told me to change the wheel bearing but I doubted them and believe that is not the problem so I did not let them do it cause it is really expensive after 2 days the malfunction indicator light came out, and I sent it back to Nissan not I have to pay another 500$ for the wheel bearing. I told them the total cause 2800$ could be an initial down payment to a new car I just trade this Nissan Versa, I feel rub by Nissan, I wasn't expecting the car will break down within 5 years. So bad experience, I don't wanna buy Nissan anymore
