CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

I rented a Nissan Versa for 3 days. Fun to drive/ AC pretty good/mileage excellent but the SEATS ARE TERRIBLE. My sister had to have a pillow behind her so the headrest won't push her head forward. I just drove it with the seat back further and sat up straight to avoid it. ALSO the seat part you sit on is flatter than a pancake. My butt hurt at my tailbone after about 45 mins driving this car. It never got any better.
I am looking to buy a car soon and it is not going to be this one. I don't get why they would design a car seat like this. There is something to be said for taking a nice long test drive. I have a 25 year old Honda Accord LX that is on death row and the seats are still great.
Sure is a cute car but watch it! I just want to get the word out there. A car is an investment and you cannot get out of the sale. I would be sick if I had purchased this cat, the used car market should be flooded soon.
