CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

My mother was involved in a car accident with her 2012 Nissan Versa in May 2015 that veered out of control hitting a concrete barrier and sent her to the hospital with 15 broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken back and broken right hand. She needed surgery to put her ribs and sternum back together with titanium bars and rods. She was in the hospital, then a rehab, and then a nursing home for two months. In November of 2015 we received a recall in the mail saying there was a production issue with the front coil springs that may affect the handling of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
I believe that Nissan is responsible for this accident and my mother should be compensated!!!!!
