CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

"New" CVT transmission failed. Dealership said too bad not under warranty.
I said, "It is a new transmission, how could it fail in 15,000 miles?!"
They said contact Nissan corporate.
Nissan attorney said, "Too bad not under warranty."
Found out all failed CVT transmission are sent back to corporate to refurbish because they do not make this bad transmission anymore and replaced it in newer Versas.
Nissan lied when they implied I was given a replacement, "new" transmission. It was a known lemon, discontinued transmission.
I will sue them but would like to hear from others who were lied to about replacement parts.
Update from Dec 29, 2015: Would like to hear from other Versa transmission problem owners. We may have a class action suit. The replacement transmissions they are putting in our cars are refurbished not "new" as they are represented. Please contact me.
