CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.
The car will drift back and forth on the freeway to the point that driving in the center lane is very unsafe. I hate driving on the highway because of how scared and unsafe the car feels. This seems to be a Nissan issue though as every Nissan I've ever been in has had some sort of stability issue. Thankfully in one month this one will be off my hands and no more Nissan's for us! This is a HUGE safety concern and after reading other posters with the same concern state that Nissan said it's "normal" it furthers my stance on no more Nissan's. I'm shocked that they are not doing more to rectify this.
