Hello I just received NHTSA recall 17V-449 for my Nissan Versa hatchback VIN [xxx]. I am the original owner. I have parked the vehicle and it will not be moved until the repairs are made. However Nissan says it will take 8 months until parts are available. You people at the NHTSA are part of the recall and you allow is! this is not acceptable. How could you allow a company 8 months to correct a deadly problem. Thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have contacted 3 different Nissan dealers in fresno, clovis, merced and none of them no anything about the recall notice I received. What's more ridiculous is it cannot be fixed until spring of 2018! this is a defect with the driver side airbag that can cause death. I need to be in a rental care until this can be fixed. Notice received in mail 9/21/17.

Takata recall. I received my first notice NHTSA recall 16V349 early in 2017. It was a preliminary letter to advise of the problem with the defective airbags and Nissan was waiting for parts to fix the vehicles. Then I got a second letter and it instructed me to call my local Nissan dealer and have the car serviced. I took my car in today, 8/15/17 and after waiting for two hours, was told they would not service just the passenger airbag and that I have to wait until 2018 when they get the other part. Knowing the danger here, I want to have the passenger airbag fixed immediately! if something tragic were to happen, Nissan would be responsible and liable since you put me on notice and then don't correct the problem. I would like to be contacted immediately.

Received a recall notice of airbags self deploying and advised to not use passenger seat. I have called repeately for updates none available, now I can't through 800 number. Not using passenger seat creates a hardship my spouse is disabled making it extremely challenging to only use back seat when going to appointments or just daily living errands. I just need to know what is going on or what can I do to get help or a loaner car. I paid for my call in full and Nissan now is dragging their feet. Please help! I received the noticewell over a year ago.

Takata recall. It has been nearly 11 months since I received the first recall notice, and I am still waiting for the 2nd letter informing me that the parts are available. That does not fit the recall being done in a timely manner. My transportation costs are higher because I have to use a less fuel efficient vehicle.
