Last year we took it to hunt Nissan in chattanooga, Tennessee and were told they could not get part to repair airbag. That same dealership is no East chattanooga Nissan I spoke with chris, service manager on Monday November 27, 2017, who verified that the part will not be in until the spring, which is very unacceptable. The car has not been in an accident yet, but 2 year old grand

Takata recall - I took my 2010 Nissan Versa to the fox Nissan dealership in grand rapids, mi and they told me that they wouldn't have the parts available to replace my air bag until the summer of 2018. I feel that driving a car that has faulty airbags and that possibly could injure people from metal fragments is a serious recall that people should not be driving their vehicles. I was not offered another vehicle to replace my vehicle until this repair is made and it is the only vehicle I have for work and transportation for my family.

In May 2017 I have experienced airbag indicator light flashing my dashboard of Nissan Versa Versa 2010. I have scheduled an appointment at Nissan service center, where I was first notified that there is pending passenger airbag recall (did not receive any notification from Nissan about that). The passenger airbag was replaced under the recall at no charge but the airbag light was still present. At that particular point, Nissan service did not want to perform any more inspections for free so I was charged $160 to get advice on flashing airbag light (repair order 1 attached). At this moment I was given an estimate of approximately $1500-1600 to get the driver seat airbag fixed. I decided to go for it (even though that it was almost half of the value of my car). My car was repaired one week later (after 2 times replacing the airbag and modules on driver seat) as the parts appear to be defective. I was without the car for about 10 days. I received notification from Nissan directly in October about a recall on drivers airbag. I have contacted premier Nissan of san jose, where my repair was being done to claim a refund of $1,481.68 for the repairs I was not responsible to pay. They told me to contact consumer affair and Nissan directly for a refund. The service provider stated that all repairs which were done in June need to be replaced again once new parts are available, therefore I need to be eligible for a refund. The airbag still needs to be replaced in March when new parts are available.

Takata airbags: The passenger airbag is not working properly. It comes on when nobody is in the passenger seat and it goes off when someone over the weight capacity sits. It's suppose to come on when it recognizes weight over 120 lbs, but it does not; however when I am driving down the road (alone), all of a sudden it just pops on (when nobody is in the passenger seat. I am so afraid for myself and that of those riding with me. This is a "clear and present danger", this takata airbag issue needs to be finally fixed and soon! I have taken my vehicle in twice for the same recall. First time, I was told a temporary part was put in until the permanent one came from the manufacturer (that was earlier this year), then I received a call from this same dealership that the permanent part was in. So I took it back in July for it to be installed and yet, that part has been recalled also. The dealership tells me "they are waiting on the manufacturer for the replacement part that will finally fix this issue with the takata inflator airbag issue. Meanwhile and as I wait, I am putting myself in danger driving the car and those who ride with me. This inflator issue needs to be fixed and soon! I need help getting the proper resolution that will remedy this situation. The manufacturer need to speed up the process and make this a priority to get resolved as I have two Nissan Versa's and both have the same takata inflator issues under the recall. My other car is a 2008 Nissan Versa also needing the permanent part to fix it's inflator issue.

Takata recall contacted Nissan on 11/2/17 and they stated that they would not have the driver side airbag parts until April 2018 for repair. They advised me not to my vehicle and thus leaving me with no means of transportation. They want me to contact my insurance in regards for a rental car and they are making me responsible for storing my vehicle until the parts are available, 6 months from now.

Takata recall I was notified by a 3rd party about a class action suit. Instructed to contact Nissan dealership. Wondering why Nissan did not notify every driver directly"! this recall has been known since June. Replacement part is on back order till end of the spring 2018. Was placed in a rental vehicle by local Nissan dealership since they are unable to repair my car till spring 2018. Why was Nissan not responsible in notifying all drivers affected of a potentially deadly defect" I have monthly trips from pittsburgh to DC, philadelphia, and the the jersey shore. This is terrifying that a defect of this magnitude and the corporation is not proactive in reaching the owners of their cars.
