CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

Using the FOB (remote) key-less entry works fine. BUT -- using the black rubber button on the drivers/passenger side handles randomly will not work. The car does not seem to be sending a signal TO the FOB. (receives signals FROM FOB fine.) Once inside the car (having had to fish the FOB out of pocket/purse and use FOB to gain entry to the car) ... almost 90% of the time IGNITION will then not work either ... and requires a second "unlock" FOB button push. VERY annoying!! Nissan Service department in Lewisville TX (Bangston/ AutoNation Nissan) shrugs shoulders, saying they have no clue --- and simply expect that I will drop the issue and forget about something being broken on the car. PLEASE -- I NEED THIS TO WORK.
