Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages. Read more »
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.
$500 for evaporator, $130 for, i think it was called a condensor. $300 labor, plus tax on all that. And that was after I took it to 3 mechanics with 5 star ratings. Didn't even talk to the dealer.
8 years old. 46k miles. not even the compressor and it cost a grand. the off-market part cost $58 so dealer's making a mint, but i don't want to pay a fortune in labor and time to replace it again.
PS 2 weeks later, the radiator hose "broke". Another $50. It always happens that when they fix one thing, they break another. At least this wasn't a big repair, although there's no way of knowing what else got broken until another problem shows up.
NEVER EVER going to buy another Nissan. Had my Honda Prelude for 10 years and only had to replace tires and do oil changes.
At 7 years, I started putting in good money on this Nissan Versa starting with tires, then the handle came off (that meant taking the door apart, twice), then the evaporator, now a hose. What next?!
First there's no freon. Spend $107 on freon. Now I hear a strange rattle from under the dash. Suspicious. 2 months later -- no freon. Estimates between $900 and $1100 to fix. For 46,000 miles usage, this is unacceptable.
still the same go around with the dealer saying oh its the first time we seen this . I ask if there was a problem with this vechicle but they assure me that it is not a problem.
