CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

dealer replaced front strut assemblies (1 reports)
Without warning, the passenger-side coil spring broke, luckily it did not happen while driving.
Update from Dec 29, 2015: I took the car to the dealer some time in August and they said they have to replace front strut assemblies on my Versa and it will cost around $1500. I ended up replacing the front strut assemblies which costed me around $1500. One week after my front side passenger tire got punctured(I think coil spring did a small puncture to the tire enough for a screw to go in) and I ended up replacing with new tire as well for around $100.
