CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

My daughter was involved in a crash and roll over accident December 30 2015. It was a roll over and the front end was torn off and the roof crushed. (LUCKY TO BE ALIVE). She had serious injuries, major concussion, shoulder injury etc. Contacted Nissan and their reply was "THE AIR BAGS MAY OR MAY NOT DEPLOY IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES". Just read me a quote from the owners manual. Would you feel safe having your family member in a vehicle were the air bags may or may not deploy?
