CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

I first received a notice about this last year. At the time no repair parts were available. About 6 months ago I got another notice, so I brought the car in for something else. no parts were available for the airbag problem. I have recently received 2 more notices and still there are no parts available
There doesn't seem to be any reason to send out notices if nothing can be done about the problem. I can understand if the only reason these notices are sent out is legal. However it does seem that the solution to this problem is not a high priority to the manufacturer. I will admit that otherwise I have had good a good relationship with Nissan.
Thanks
