CarComplaints.com Notes: Be aware the 2007-2011 Nissan Versa was recalled in the US in May 2016 & July 2017 for defective Takata airbags that are potentially deadly. Many Versa owners have reported problems getting Nissan dealers to complete the recall repair, due to scheduling problems & parts shortages.
If you are considering purchasing a 2007-2011 Nissan Versa, call your local Nissan dealer with the VIN# & ask if the airbag recall has been done.

Purchased new, had to replace muffler at 8,000 miles, no Nissan replacement part available, replaced with after market muffler at owner's expense, Nissan denied claim. Nissan replaced air conditioner under warranty at 15,000 miles. Second muffler replaced shortly after that at owner's expense (again). Suspension coil springs broke prior to recall, replaced at owner's expense,,,,Nissan replaced these springs with their own later in the recall. Air bags took forever to be replaced......other problems with exhaust....new pipes everywhere. Only salvation was car was salvaged by insurance co due to hail storm damage, so we got some money out of vehicle before it completely rusted out at 46,000 miles and became an organ donor, although I don't imagine any parts are usable. Buy a TOYOTA, a real car.
