A clip broke on a universal joint on my wife's 2007 Nissan Versa. Grenada Nissan of grenada< ms said that it was a retainer clip, and that the entire steering column had to be replaced...this was in February, with little more than 800 miles on the vehicle. In November, the clip broke once again. My wife took the vehicle to cannon Nissan in greenwood ms, where they told her that it was a "manufacturer's" clip, that was supposed to break off! now, one dealership is telling us that a bolt will back off without this clip, while the other dealership is saying that this clip is not needed!
