The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that there was a knocking sound coming from the driver-??s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and then while the vehicle was idling, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed failure with cylinder #7. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced at 27,000. The contact stated that at 80,000 miles the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Capital City Nissan of Topeka (1980 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66612) to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced again. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact referenced Technical Service Bulletin/NHTSA ID Number: 10174416 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB or a warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.
