-the contact stated that while driving the 2007 Nissan Titan with 8,000 failure mileage at 65 mph on cruise control, and attempting to pass another vehicle the contact pressed on the acceleration pedal. At which point the vehicle accelerated at a higher rate of speed than expected. The contact pressed on the brake to get the vehicle to slow down, but nothing happened. The contact had to pull the vehicle onto the side of the road, turned off the cruise control manually, put the vehicle in neutral and hit the brakes to regain control. The vehicle was revving and sounded rough after the contact turned off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and the throttle chamber was replaced. The vehicle experienced the same failure three times after the repair. Update/23/07
