This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.

"takata recall" rear axels and differental leaking after being replaced 3 times when first discovered in 2016. Vehicle is very shakey and breaks are not responsive and oil smell is horrific
While driving down the road the rear tire flew off (passenger). Had we been even a 1/4 of a mile further we would have been on major highway and this could have killed us and any on coming traffic. When we went to repair Nissan dealer wanted hundreds of dollars more for parts/gave us wrong parts and we had to travel several miles and make several trips to have car repaired...through no help of Nissan shop..
Rear axle seal, driver side, and soon after, the passenger side as well, failed. Differential fluid leaked out onto inner wheel surface, brake parts, and immediate area creating hazardous conditions. This is a widely known problem for Nissan Titan owners and Nissan is, and has been, well aware of this problem and has not offered a design solution to my knowledge. Nearly every Titan experiences this seal failure at some point. Some while still under warranty, (which typically get repaired by Nissan) but as for the rest of us who are beyond our warranties, we are left with this hazardous condition and a big repair bill. **this should be a recall, or at least repaired by Nissan at their expense. Its my understanding that there was a technical service bulletin outlining the issuefor Nissan mechanics. Please help**
On a recall for a faulty ECM (engine control module). The vehicle stalled and would not start again, had it towed to dealer. Nissan covered this ECM. During the repair the mechanic noted that the rear axle seals were leaking and recommended that they be repaired as soon as possible. The cost to repair was estimated at $750. While web surfing for the repair process for the seals I ran across many complaints concerning this problem with the Nissan Titan including models from 2004 to present (2012). Based on the feedback from other Titan owners, this is a common flaw with the vehicle and a costly one at that. Also this is the first time I have ever witnessed rear axle seals failing in a vehicle. Most seem to last the life time of the vehicle. I believe this is a manufacture's responsiblity due to a defective parts creating an unsafe and useless means of transportation.

Both rear axle seals are leaking on my 2006 Nissan Titan. The passenger side is so bad the gear oil has slung all over the wheel and the parking brake shoes are dripping wet.
Nissan Titan pickup truck- 5 spoke wheel spoke cracked. As the vehicle was driven to the dealership, the crack did worsen and caused increased vibration in the steering wheel. The dealership inspected the wheel for impact damage, non was observed. The 18in alloy wheel was replaced by dealership. No other wheel components, spokes had any damage. This is a mechanic breakdown of a tire-wheel component which will cause fatalities.
