rear left shackle gave way - breaking through the bed

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-problems-dealer-service/96527-rear-shackle-busted.html

This issue put me at serious risk for a mjaor accident. I was appalled at my local Nissan Dealer ( owned by the Dilawri Group who owns hundreds of dealerships here in Canada) when they told me they had never heard of this and that it was definitely not a faulty part or a result of a poor weld etc etc They tried to blame it on me saying that having 600 lbs load in the bed at the time it broke through was the cause.

A quick google search gave me all kinds of results showing this to be a common problem on 2004-2007 models till Nissan changed the design of the shackles.

Absolutely ridiculous - I'll never buy another Nissan or any vehicle through a Dilawri-owned dealership. Funny cause they work so hard to get you in their showroom - just to test-drive a car - but if they spent 10% of their advertising budget on real service - they'd have me and many others as lifelong customers.
